Creating A Productive Work Space

Hello my little snowflakes! Winter is on it’s way and even now at 4:30pm I’m looking out of my office window and it’s dark and rainy outside.

Not great.

It’s so easy to get into a slump in these months which is why it’s so so important to create a productive work space to help you get the most out of your working day.

↠ Candles

Adding different scents to your desk whether it’s through candles or even an oil diffuser can really help.
Personally I prefer oil diffusers because they also help to keep the air clean and your skin hydrated.

Opt for scents that are mood and motivation boosters such as lemon, peppermint, jasmine and rosemary.
Stay away from scents such as lavender and chamomile because they help you to feel more sleepy.

Candles are a great way of keeping the office feel fresh and smell good. If you surround yourself with positive things or all the things that you love the more likely you will get stuff done!

↠ De-Clutter

We’ve all been there. When you’re super busy it’s hard to find time to clean up after yourself and then not only are you swamped but you’re also sitting in one.
Spending just five minutes cleaning up your desk can really help to create a clearer mind and you can focus more.

More stuff on the desk, more distractions.

↠ Plants- Real Ones

There’s been evidence that having plants in an office can boost motivation and mood. With all those computers and people stuffed into one room it can be nice to have some of the outside world inside.

I currently have an aloe vera plant and a christmas cactus on my desk and I love them.

But, don’t forget to water them!!

↠ Get Inspired

Surrounding yourself with things that inspire you in your own personal way can be so motivating.
I do this with a vision board. Think of everything that you want from life. They can be quotes, pictures, your family, anything. Put it all on a board in your work space and every time you look at it you will start to feel slightly more inspired to do better, do more and keep going.

Thank you!  I hope I inspired at least one of your reading this to create a productive work space. ♡
