Breakfast That Helps Me Tackle The Day

We all have those days.

The I can’t be bothered, I won’t be bothered, I’m not moving and you can’t make me days.
The I’m going to snuggle in bed with my blanket and the remote and you can’t do anything to stop me days.

Sometimes those days appear at some of the most inconvenient times. You may have made prior arrangements or you have a deadline you need to meet by today and you have only written the title and the date on a blank document. It almost feels like those days appear right when you least need them.

But you’re stronger than you think. You can power through them and sometimes all you need is a good breakfast to get you going.

BACON-AVOCADO with GREEN TEA

The first go to breakfast I make when I feel this way is Bacon-Avocado on toast with a little salt and pepper, maybe some ketchup and a cup of green tea.

Basic,I know.

But it works. For me it’s almost the idea of something being good for me rather than how good it actually is. If I feel like I’ve made the right choice even with the smallest of things like what I ate for breakfast my whole outlook on the day can change with it… an yes before you ask, I’m aware how fragile I am.

However, there is no doubt about it… Coffee is bad for you; green tea is good for you. So my usual go to coffee disappears and I drink green tea in the morning to help me feel more fresh on those not-so-fresh days.

Why Is Green Tea Good?

According to healthline and a few other websites I’ve done some research on there’s actually a long list of things that green tea can do to completely transform your entire being.

Okay maybe not, but it’s a nice little booster.

It makes you smarter

That’s right. You better start chugging it down by the gallon because otherwise you may miss out on your PhD.

That was a joke, please don’t start doing that.

Green tea contains caffeine which is supposed to be what makes you Einstein.
Caffeine has been proven to boost your mood, vigilance, reaction times and improved memory.

So why not drink coffee?

Green tea has caffeine but the intake of caffeine in green tea is not as high as coffee. It stimulates the brain without causing the shaky affects that come with drinking too much coffee. In turn giving you a subtle boost to help you feel better but not crazy, anxious or over stimulated.

It Kills Bacteria

It can lower your risk of infection, including dental infections. Not only that it can prevent you from contracting viruses like influenza.

Not only that it can prevent bad breath… Another reason it’s better that coffee sometimes. Nobody likes coffee breath.

Other Issues

Not only does it kill bacteria, it can prevent so much more such as:

  • type 2 diabetes
  • reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease
  • lose weight and lower obesity risk

Not bad huh.
